The Roanoke-Chowan Partners for Progress

The Roanoke-Chowan Partners for Progress

It’s being at the right place at the right time - that’s what RCPP2 is about!  The Roanoke-Chowan Partners for Progress 2 (RCPP2) can show you there is unity, creativity, and strength in being a part of this collaborative.  RCPP2 is comprised of regional community residents, businesses, nonprofits, educational and faith-based institutions, and local governments.

The Roanoke Center coordinates and facilitates participation upon business and community partners that make up RCPP2.  The project offers participants an environment where networks are broadened, ideas are fertilized, resources are leveraged, tool kits are expanded and collaborative teams generate opportunities for community revitalization and growth.

RCPP2 coordinates the economic development efforts of nonprofits, local governments and community-focused organizations working within the Roanoke-Chowan and Roanoke Valley regions. Together as RCPP2, these organizations work to pull their collective efforts in order to stimulate a diversified, vibrant and growing local economy.   Stakeholders meet quarterly to share ideas, leverage resources and discover common ground.  The ongoing and frequent dialogue among all partners ensures a cohesive, united approach to strengthening communities and economic development activities, prevents duplication of efforts and wasted resources and sparks creativity and innovation that only broad scale collaboration can bring.
